Women Environmental Programme (WEP) has announced a call for consultancy to carry out Community-Based Climate Risk and Needs Assessments in two local government areas of Jigawa State, Nigeria.

The organisation said the exercise will help identify climate vulnerabilities, review existing dry season farming practices, and explore community-level innovations to develop tailored adaptation strategies.

According to WEP, “The assessment will guide advocacy and investment in climate-resilient infrastructure and services.” The consultancy will also document local approaches to agriculture and propose sustainable solutions to address climate change challenges affecting rural communities.

The assignment is expected to last four weeks from the date of signing the contract. Interested consultants are required to submit a technical proposal of no more than five pages, detailing their understanding of the assignment, proposed methodology, and work plan. They must also submit a financial proposal with a breakdown of consultancy fees and other costs, alongside a Curriculum Vitae highlighting relevant experience, and samples of similar past work.
