The qualifications required vary by position. For Professor roles, applicants must hold a Ph.D or equivalent professional fellowship in the relevant discipline, with other conditions as stated in the University’s Conditions of Service. Readers should have at least three years of experience as Senior Lecturer, along with a Ph.D or equivalent qualification. Senior Lecturers must have served three years as Lecturer I, while Lecturer I candidates must have spent three years as Lecturer II and hold a Ph.D or equivalent. Lecturer II applicants require a Ph.D plus four years’ teaching experience as Assistant Lecturer, while Assistant Lecturers need at least a Master’s degree with thesis and coursework in their specialization.
