Recall that the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission (LGSC) online CBT test was scheduled to hold today. However, LGSC has officially extended the date for the ongoing Computer-Based Test (CBT) into Local Government Councils and Local Council Development Areas. This development was confirmed in a public announcement issued by the Commission.
Originally slated for Monday, 7th July 2025, between 7:00am and 7:00pm, the test will now span a five-day window, starting from Monday, 7th July to Friday, 11th July 2025. The extension aims to ease the pressure on applicants due to congestion and traffic challenges that may hinder timely access to the testing platform.
In a statement released by the Commission, it was noted that: “This extension is in response to the congestion and traffic experienced by applicants and is aimed at ensuring accessibility and convenience for all participants.”
The Commission also provided a detailed guide for all candidates to access and complete the test through the official portal. Candidates are expected to:
- Visit lslgsc.com.ng and navigate to the “Services” tab using only Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge browsers for proper functionality.
- Click the link that directs to the CBT portal.
- Locate the login area labeled as “Candidate Login”, “User Login Portal”, or simply “Login”.
- Enter the login details correctly. The Username should be typed in this format:
“Name/LGSC/State of Origin” (e.g., Emeka/LGSC/Osun), using the exact name as shown on the Acknowledgement Slip. The Password should be the last 10 digits of the registration number, excluding any prefix.
Example: If the registration number is LSGSC/Ogun/0045770.8857040741, the password is 8857040741. - Click “Login/Sign In” to access the CBT Dashboard.
- Read all instructions carefully on the dashboard and click on “Start Test”, “Attempt Test”, or “Begin Selection Test” to begin.
Applicants are strongly advised to ensure their internet connection is stable before beginning the test. Refreshing or closing the browser during the test will automatically end the session. The LGSC stressed that only the approved browsers listed should be used for the process to avoid technical glitches.
It was also recommended that candidates take the test alone in a quiet and distraction-free environment to ensure full concentration.
“The Commission appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all applicants,” the statement added.
