KWASUED Ilorin announces recruitment (teaching/non-teaching)

The Kwara State University of Education (KWASUED), Ilorin has announced vacancies for teaching and non-teaching staff. In a statement from the Office of the Registrar, the institution invited applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions.

According to the notice, applications are open for the ranks of Senior Lecturer, Lecturer I, Lecturer II, Assistant Lecturer and Librarian in the following areas:

The qualifications and requirements for teaching positions include:
a. A Ph.D. Degree in the relevant field of Education (for Lecturer and Senior Lecturer positions).
b. First Degree in the relevant field of Education with Ph.D. Grade (for Assistant Lecturer).
c. First Degree in Library and Information Science from a recognized university (for Librarian positions).
d. Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science (for Librarian positions).
e. Minimum of Three (3) to Six (6) Years Cognate Teaching or Library Experience, depending on the level.
f. Scholarly Publications in Reputable National and International Outlets, with numbers ranging from Four (4) to Fifteen (15) depending on the rank.
g. Evidence of Research Direction or Supervision, especially at the Master’s Degree Level (for Senior Lecturer).
h. Evidence of Potentials for an Academic Career (for entry-level positions).
i. SSCE/NECO/WAEC/GCE O’Level or equivalents with at least Credits in Five (5) Subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
j. Teaching Qualification for Candidates with Qualification(s) in Cognate Subject.
k. ICT Proficiency from Government-recognized Institution.
l. NYSC Discharge Certificate or Evidence of Exemption.

For non-teaching positions, the requirements are:
a. First Degree or Master’s Degree in relevant fields from a recognized university, in some cases with at least Three (3) to Five (5) Years relevant Working Experience.
b. Candidate must provide NYSC Discharge Certificate or Evidence of Exemption.
c. Proficiency in ICT from Government’s recognized Institution is required or evidence of knowledge in relevant Programming/Systems.
d. Membership of relevant Professional Bodies such as NIM, ICAN, ANAN, QSRBN, NISLT, COREN, ARCON, Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, or equivalents is required where applicable.
e. Evidence of Registration with Professional Councils where applicable.
f. SSCE/GCE/WAEC with 5 Credits in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics may apply for some positions.

The notice stated that “applicants should complete their application process not later than 26th September, 2025.” It further directed applicants to visit https://hrm.kwasu.edu.ng/ and sign up to apply.

It added that applicants are required to state names and addresses of three referees and ensure the referees forward their references on their behalf to the Registrar through the same link.

The Registrar confirmed that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a physical interview.
