Junior Achievement Nigeria, a member of 34 Worldwide, in collaboration with Johnson & Johnson, has announced a call for volunteers to support its WiSTEM2D initiative aimed at empowering young Nigerians with skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Manufacturing, and Design.
According to the organizers, the program will feature interactive learning experiences, including hands-on workshops, design thinking sessions, STEM quizzes via Kahoot, and innovation camps. “Volunteers will mentor and coach students while participating in career sessions, ideation challenges, and pitch contests judged by STEM experts,” a spokesperson said.
Interested applicants must be 18 years or older, live in Lagos, and have a laptop with internet access. Strong communication, mentoring, teamwork, and creative thinking skills are required. Volunteers must also commit to all three stages of the program: pre-test, innovation camp, and quiz phase. Registration is ongoing via https://tinyurl.com/WiSTEM2DVolForm.
