The Hospital Services Management Board (HSMB) and Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital (ASYBSH) in Gusau, Zamfara State, have announced an internal and external call for applications from suitably qualified candidates for employment.
In a statement, the management said, “We are requesting applications from suitably qualified candidates wishing to be employed by the Board and ASYBSH.” The available slots include Consultants specialized in internal medicine, general surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatrics. Other specialties with openings are:
i ophthalmology
ii ENT
iii orthopedics surgery
iv radiology
v pathology
vi dental surgery
There are also positions for Principal Medical Officers and Medical Officers.
On remuneration, the statement revealed that:
a fresh medical officers will be placed on COMMESS 3/2 = N462,429.00 per month
b fresh consultants will equally be placed on COMMESS 6/3 = N1,038,479.00 per month
According to the board, only candidates with current registration with the Nigerian Medical and Dental Council will be considered for the roles.

Applications are to be submitted on or before 31st August 2025. “Only shortlisted applicants will be eligible for interview,” the notice stated.
