The Benue State Primary Health Care Board has opened applications for new health workers to boost medical services in rural parts of the state. This initiative, carried out in collaboration with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), targets the recruitment of Junior Community Health Extension Workers (JCHEWs) and Community Based Health Workers (CBHWs) across all 276 wards.
The recruitment falls under the Service Scheme of the NPHCDA. Officials explained that the goal is to fill existing vacancies in rural primary healthcare facilities to improve service delivery. “We are seeking qualified candidates who are ready to contribute to better healthcare access in their communities,” the management noted.
Applicants must meet specific requirements:

– Be between 25 and 60 years old
– Live in the same ward or community where they are applying
– Have at least a secondary school education
– Be willing to work in rural areas
– Be able to communicate in English or the local language
The closing date for submission is 25 August 2025. Interested individuals should complete the application through the designated online forms.
