Bayelsa State Government has announced the approval of the final list for the Post Primary Schools Board (PPSB) teachers recruitment. According to a statement, Governor Douye Diri accepted the recommendations of the Mr. Irorodamie Komonibo-led committee on the earlier botched exercise.
The government revealed that 995 eligible applicants have been shortlisted based on a verified needs assessment. “Applicants are advised to check the notice board of the PPSB in Yenagoa to confirm their employment status,” the statement said.
It further stated that those who had reported for duty during the defunct recruitment exercise will now receive salaries for the months they served. “Government will commence payment of salaries according to months of service rendered,” said Hon. Dr. Gentle E. Emelah, Commissioner for Education.
