The University of Jos has announced the start of its 2025 massive recruitment exercise. This was made known through a public notice released on the institution’s official portal. The management stated, “Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for massive recruitment to fill vacant positions in the University of Jos.” This exercise is aimed at filling different academic and non-academic roles while creating employment opportunities for qualified candidates.

The positions open for recruitment are:

The management announced that these vacancies are spread across various faculties within the university. The faculties are:

The general requirements for all candidates applying for these positions are:
i. Candidates must possess appropriate educational qualifications such as PhD, Master’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or equivalent in relevant fields depending on the position applied for.
ii. Candidates must have post-qualification experience as required for each position.
iii. Candidates must show ability to teach, conduct research, and contribute to the growth of the institution.
iv. Candidates must have a reasonable number of publications in reputable journals where applicable.
v. Candidates must be registered or registrable with relevant professional bodies where necessary.
vi. Candidates must have good communication and organizational skills.
vii. Candidates must possess relevant certifications or licenses as required for the position.
viii. Candidates must have evidence of completion or exemption from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) where applicable.
ix. Candidates must meet the minimum work experience requirements for the respective roles.
x. Candidates must have basic computer knowledge and skills relevant to their roles.
xi. Candidates must demonstrate integrity, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility.
xii. Candidates must possess a minimum of five credits, including English Language, in WAEC, NECO, or GCE where required.
xiii. Relevant professional or administrative experience will be an added advantage.
