The Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency has opened applications for new Community Based Health Workers in collaboration with the State Ministry of Health and the National Primary Health Care Development Agency. The announcement was made on 25th August 2025.
The agency explained that the recruitment follows the directive of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo to strengthen healthcare at the grassroots. “This approval will help us provide affordable and accessible healthcare services to Ndi Anambra across different communities,” the notice stated.
The positions available are:
i. Junior Community Health Extension Workers (JCHEWs)
ii. Assistant Community-Based Health Workers
To qualify, applicants must meet the following conditions:
i. Must be a Nigerian citizen
ii. Must be registered with the relevant professional body
iii. Possess FSLC, WAEC, JCHEW Certificate, Valid License and NIN
iv. Computer knowledge will be considered an advantage

The interview has been scheduled for 9th September 2025 at 8:00AM. The venue is Jerome Ud’orji Secretariat, Aroma, Awka.
In a signed statement, Pharm. (Mrs) Chisom Uchem of the Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency noted that “all correspondence should be directed to the Executive Secretary.”
