The Oyo State Local Government Service Commission has refuted claims suggesting it is presently conducting a recruitment exercise.
In a press release issued in Ibadan, the Chairman, Bashorun Akinwale Solomon Akinwole, described the information as “false, misleading, and the handiwork of fraudsters.” He explained that the process of converting ad-hoc staff to permanent employees had been completed long ago, warning the public against falling for fake adverts, calls, or appointment letters spread in the Commission’s name.
“For the avoidance of doubt, all official recruitment announcements will be made only through verified channels, including the Oyo State Government website, national newspapers, and accredited broadcast media outlets,” the statement noted.
The Commission highlighted that no applicant is ever expected to make payments at any stage of an employment process. It called on residents to remain cautious and to disregard fraudulent messages circulating online.
According to the statement, the public should rely exclusively on credible government-approved platforms to obtain accurate updates, as scammers continue to target unsuspecting job seekers with deceptive offers.
